A zine about the future of design.
This project was the culmination of a six-week transnational collaboration. The course was comprised of half Master's Graphic Design students at AKV St. Joost in Breda, NL and half Graduate Communications Design students at Pratt Institute in NYC (US).
The students were put into groups and discussed the past, present, and future of graphic design on a micro and macro scale. Prompted by readings from Lies Ros (NL) and John Maeda (US), each group came up with a "multi-voice essay," containing questions about design vs. art. client roles, designer responsibility, and the future of our industry.
Our group, John Olson (US), Sierra Siemer (US), Sue Yi (CH, NL), Emmy van Thiel (NL), and Natasja de Vries (NL), focused primarily on imagining what the role of "designer" would or could be in the future.

Logo animation made in After Effects. The client had no personal branding or logo prior to the animation, so I was also responsible for creating a visual identity. I made an abstract W and H out of a square, because the client was fond of using basic geometric shapes in her work.Art Direction, Branding, Motion Graphics2012 -
